I made Ethiopian food tonight. I made Sik Sik Wat, Pete's fake injera, curried cabbage and onions, and greens with potatos. I proclaim it a success. Hopefully it will be even better next time.

So, if you haven't checked out Love Monkey, starring Tom Cavanaugh, you really should. It's a really fun show.

Oh yeah, related to my last post about making music, etc. is this thread over in ask metafilter.

I saw a few moments of Love Monkey while Scrubs was on commercial break. I was not really impressed with it. Oh no! Man no understandy Woman! Boo hoo! I don't care.

I think that was the second storyline. I'm sensing that they're going for an ensemble thing here, with little stories told about each of the secondary characters. But the show's really about Tom.

Give it another chance.

What are you talking about, by the way? It came on after Scrubs. Or is TV that different up in Springdale?

OK. MY BAD. It was Boston Legal. And yes, TV is different up in Los Springdale.

All about the Love Monkey...I lie the music references and the walk-ons by artists, however...it's essentially Ed in the City.

Think about it...first episode of Ed. Splits with wife (she was cheating w/mailman) and is fired for a mistake. He runs off to Stuckeyville so he won't have to grow up.

Love Monkey...loses girl, gets fired, runs off to indy label so he won't have to grow up. And While I like Tom Kavanaugh, he's got like no range...or else he's not been given material with which to display range.

Still...I like it. But we Dr. Jerome

Hm... Ed in the City it might be, but I really don't care, as I loved Ed, and Tom Cavanaugh is really the main reason why I liked Ed.

I dig the music references too. Did you catch Ben Folds?

I think he has range. He does funny great. He also does sad/pissed off great. He does happy great. What else do you want? What else is there?

On snap, Pete--you've got to check out this Hasidic Reggae site that Hero of Socialist Labor was raving about. I'm fixin' to e-mail the Rabbi about it now.

P.S. The Rabbi says the Hassidic reggae dude is huge up in Vermont and plays regular shows in Burlington. And I thought they were so white bread!
