If you really want to have some fun, listen to some reggae. I've been groovin' on Toots and the Maytals and Peter Tosh lately. Nothing like some roots reggae to turn a blue feeling into a head bobbin' sway and groove.

Music really does have this enormous influence over how I feel and think. I think that's why I've been so attracted to trying to make ambient music. It's a way for me to control my environment in an almost shamanic sort of way.
