So, I just got back from the doctor. Turns out I have high blood pressure. I'm going to start treating it with medicine, so we'll see where it goes.

Hey, man, sorry to hear that...especially since you're married to Her Highness, The Salt Princess. (Who loves ya, Beth?)

me too. throughout the incident that shall not be talked about here... my blood pressure has been showing itself. i need to go to the doctor and get it diagnosed. but i know its high blood pressure because 1) it runs in my family on my dad's side. two when i get stressed i get things like eye twitches and not being to hear.

and on not hearing i was reading in (i think) tape op, they have found a link between high blood pressure and being able to hear higher frequencies properly. which explains when i get stressed or haven't had enough water to drink i can't even listen to my own music that i am working on. so you got to take care of that man. it could affect your music and that is no good. (and i am going to take my own advice)

You're so easy going I'm amazed you have high blood pressure. I'd hate to know what it would be if you were actually a high-strung person.

So, if you don't mind me asking...what is the definition of high? And can you attempt to treat it via diet before going on meds?

Well, it's all kind of academic to me. I hear medical jargon like some number over some number and it all kind of sounds the same to me. But the doctor is putting me on basically the lowest dosage possible, to see if that will take care of it. But, I really really need to exercise more, being the lazy bastard I am. Plus, I'm trying to eat better.

The second number is the one to pay close attention to, Ken. If it is getting over 80, then you are treading dangerous water (prehypertension); 90 and above and you are classified as having high blood pressure. The first number should be below 120, too.
