So, I've been obsessing lately on obsolete musical technology. There used to be a type of primitive sampling keyboard called the Optigan, that used celluloid records to play recordings of sounds. They were similar in theory to mellotrons, but used optical technology, not tape.

I want one.

I found my instruction manual for how to use my sampler, so hopefully I'll actually get some real use out of the thing, besides just using it for its onboard effects.
