There's much discussion of abandoned places and urban spelunking going on over at metafilter. Dead malls are along the same vein. This is cool, and so is this. I hope somebody takes some photos of the old abandoned Mountain Inn before they tear it down.

Curried Eggs

Hard boil one or more eggs. Take the egg out of the shell. Mix 3 parts garam masala to 1 part curry powder (Penzey's Mararajah is best). Roll the egg in the spices. Then take a pot and pour in a good amount of olive oil. Then fry the spice covered egg in the olive oil until dark brown.

Mike has been saying that I need to read the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, by Alan Moore. This site is an annotation of said comic book series.

Sparrow's Fall is one of my favorite indie DIY comics/zines. Everytime my wife and I go to Kansas City, I pick one up. Be warned though, the site is very popup crazy. But it's worth it. "Chain-smoking possums, supercilious otters, cynical cats, wrestling armadillos, pathetic gen-Xers." It's about all that, and more.
