In other news, I'm deep in the funk that midsummer usually puts me in. I hate the heat. It drains me. I much prefer the autumn. The multihued falling leaves, the smells, the brisk feeling in the air. The way that my wife looks in sweaters, all cuddly and huggable. The feel of a mug of hot chocolate in my hands. The feel of the cold air on my cheeks. I miss that. It makes me feel alive. The merciless sun just zaps everything out of me.

I, for one, can't wait for autumn.

I had some important things to say. But I forgot what they were.

So, I smoked a whole chicken today. Quite nice. Then I made Kung Pao Noodles and Nick and Sarah brought over stuff to make sushi, and Collin brought over cookies.

Kind of dreading Harry Potter. It's going to be crazy and I'm basically going to be getting no sleep for two days.

Good news, though, I'll be taking vacation right after that. And Thursday I'm starting up my D&D game again. So that should be fun.
